| So, I got a new cell phone plan today. My old contract just ended and I had NO INTENTION of going back to my previous provider, so I went a'lookin' for a new one. I found a plan which I think I'll do quite well with. And also got a new Blackberry, which I am delighted with. XD It's red! Aside from that, reviews for stuff I watched in the past week and a half: ( Spoiler-y Reviews for HIMYM, Merlin, Fringe (well, not TOO spoiler-y for Fringe) and SPN beneath )That'll be all for now. :) | |

| Hey all! I haven't been on for a while. Which is bizarre and uncharacteristic. You can blame RL and a new RPG for that one. So lets see. Updates on me. Well, here's couple off the top of my head: --Went camping a couple weeks ago. It was on Hurricane Bill (which was made of sucky hurricane-fail, btw) weekend. A Moncton radio DJ laughed and made fun of us when we called in the request a song and we told him what our weekend plans were. Joke was on him, I don't know if we've ever had a LESS weather-interrupted camping trip. --I had to drop out of hsmbigbang, which devastated me a little, b/c I actually had most of a story done. I just didn't have time to finish the draft by the deadline. Boo. Oh, well. I'll end up posting what I've got on idontdance eventually, so it's not a waste. --Went to the FREX (Fredericton Exhibition) last night with D. It was AWESOME! I totally have no voice today and that's perfectly fine with me. --Following the trend of pretty much every other one of my old high school friends these days, a friend told me today that she's pregnant. This time with her second kid. Which I don't understand. She doesn't even have a happy marriage, plus she already got way delayed in her job training because of the time off she had to take b/c of the first kid. I mean, I think they're buying defective condoms or something. I just do not understand. And in happy addition, I've got a good portion of the sequel (can I call it a sequel? Yeah, I suppose it is) to Confessions Between Friends done. I'll probably post it in two or three parts, not sure yet. I need to edit it a little, but the first part should be up soon! W00T! | |

| Dude. Totally did the midnight premiere for HBP last night. It was AWESOME. Seriously, watch it. It's prolly one of my favourites out of the movies. I may need to watch again (or maybe again after that) to be sure, though ;P
On a side-note: Neil Patrick Harris is the king. Not for any particular reason, he just is. *NPH!luv*

| Blah to funerals. The whole idea of them is so depressing.
This one was fine, I suppose. Apparently, some of the older family members are very Catholic, so they pressured Chris's mom into doing the funeral the old-fashioned way and she just couldn't bring herself to argue over it. Which is fine, I don't blame her, she's been through enough this past week. Anyway: The priest didn't really know Chris, but he did spend the first ten minutes actually focused on him and his life, which was nice. Unfortunately, there was no eulogy, so the rest of the funeral was all Jesus-talk, and I zoned out for most of it. The bunch of us getting together that night to get drunk, play with sparklers and glow sticks, and share Chris-stories was much, much more spiritually satisfying, we've all agreed.
Now, in an attempt to move onto a more cheerful subject and not drag the rest of you down into depression with me... I'm just wondering if anyone knows the official dates that Children of Earth will be playing on yet? Wikipedia is saying "the week of July 4-10", but I don't know if that's trustworthy or not. Anyone?
Also, I come bearing gifts:

| Oh, God. I'm still just in shock.
A friend of mine died this evening. He had a heart attack. He was 23, for God's sake, and skinny as anything! How does that even happen!?
God, Chris, I will miss you so much. SO, so, so much. You are so talented, I don't know what we're going to do without you. You are unforgettable. *Hugs and love and after-dark-sidewalk conversations of the merits of Oz* - Tags:rl

| What a delightful week it's been.
I just spent the past two hours flirting with my old school not-quite-boyfriend. You know, the one you danced around for years and never quite managed to hook up with even though you both wanted to? Haven't talked to him for--literally--years, and then he happened to be on facebook at the same time as me, we chatted, we added each other on msn, we chatted some more, then we discovered there's still chemistry there. He's actually said he's sending me flowers. Dunno if it's true or not, but it's nice to say.
It kinda sucks ass that he lives 5000-ish kilometres away now. Boo. *pout*
Aside from that, I spent the past week in Ottawa at my father's house over my uni's spring break. I played tourist, even though I've been there several times before. It was highly enjoyable, even if he had no internet. (On the not-quite-as-delightful side, I met Dad's new girlfriend and was somewhat disgruntled to realize how much I liked her. I don't even know if Mother knows Dad HAS a new girlfriend yet. I am certainly not going to be the one to tell her, so I'm really hoping she already knows.)
